D.I.Y Moisturizing Foot Soak
Now that summer is around, and flip flop season is back maintaing smooth, and moisturized feet is definately on my list. Most days I will just slab on a lot of lotion to hide the dead skin, but this is a soak I love to do when I want to pamper myself. It is very easy, moisturizing, and extremely relaxing.
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- Water (as much as you need)
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 freshly squeezed lemon
- 2 tbsp sea salt or epson salt
- Optional: a few drops of your favorite essential oil
To start off I will place my problem area, which is usually my heels, in just the lemon and salt mixture to really work on removing that dead skin. After about a minute in that mixture I will add in warm water and the olive oil, and in this case lemon essential oil. I will sometimes add natural color to the olive oil to make the entire experience more fun. After that light a candle, sit back and relax until you feel ready, or the water gets cold. If you have a dead skin remover this is when I usually use it, or I will just rub a little longer with my towel to get rid of all that dead skin.
If you try this out, make sure to test it as the lemon juice and salt can be a little harsh on you skin.
